I am finally getting with the program and joining Pintrest. Thanks Hope for the invite. I am sure it will take me awhile to figure it all out. Maybe I won't spend every waking hour on it. I am not very creative but I have seen several crafts that others have done. I think I could do some of those. Maybe Pintrest will encourage me to be creative. I am so glad that it is Friday. I am exhausted from this week. Fell asleep this afternoon trying to watch TV. I had something after school everyday this week. I hope to get some rest this weekend because the next two weeks will be very busy too. I will be going to the Christmas Market in Eupora tomorrow afternoon. I am also keeping Parker Sunday afternoon. I had better get some rest tonight and in the morning. Might be the only chance I get. Enjoy your weekend!

What's Happening.....

Well, I am feeling better today. I am so glad. It was hard to go back to work feeling bad. My schedule at school is running me ragged. I barely have time to eat lunch each day-usually have to eat while kids are in my room. The kids I have are doing so well. I can't wait until the next round of testing to see how they do. I got some more shopping done this afternoon. Only a few more gifts to purchase. I am ready to be finished so that I can relax and enjoy Christmas. I plan to go to the holiday bazzar in Starkville tomorow. I hope they still have some good things--maybe it won't all be gone. I am missing my little Parker. I haven't seen him since Sunday. I know it has only been a few days but I am used to seeing him a lot. Hopefully, I will get to keep him some this weekend. Alisha has exams next week so she will need a babysitter. Can't wait for The Voice to come back on. I've been watching the previews. It starts after the Super Bowl I think. Just watch last year's winner, Javier Colon, on Christmas in Rockefeller Center. First Day Back.....

Well, today was my first day back at work since the wonderful holiday. I don't feel good today (sinus infection/allergies that started on Saturday) which made it harder to get up and get here. Once I made it to work, I was okay. The students are excited to be back. The teachers are excited that we only have 3 1/2 weeks until the next holiday. (I guess the kids are too.) Nothing exciting happened today. I saw all of my students today and got some paperwork done. I have a Relay for Life meeting after school today. I was supposed to go to the eye doctor after that but I changed my appt since I was not feeling well. I plan to go get my allergy shot instead (which I should have gotten last week and may be why I am now sick). After the doctor's office, I am going home to rest. I hope each of you have a great week. I hope my allergy shot makes me feel better. I have a lot to do this week--well this whole month really. December is always a crazy month. I have a party or two each week. Can't complain about that! P.S.--don't pass out because I have written on my blog twice in the same week!!!!!! I am going to try to do better. I just can't promise the content will be that great. I live a rather boring life. HA!

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break has been a wonderful time of relaxation and family fun. I kept Parker Saturday so Alisha could get her Christmas decorations up. He was really good. He fell asleep eating lunch. It was so sweet. I spent several days this week at home decorating for Christmas, watching movies, sleeping in, and cooking. I also went to the movies a couple of times this week to see Breaking Dawn and Tower Heist. Both movies were good. I spent time with my family this week. We all went to mom's for Thanksgiving day. She invited her family and my dad's family. We had about 45 people there. After lunch, we looked at sale papers and made our plan for shopping. We decided to do some online shopping and go to Tupelo for Black Friday. Alisha's husband went to Walmart Thursday night to fight the crowd and pick up a couple of presents for us. We did not get up early Friday and fight the crowds. We made it to Tupelo around 10:15. I think most of the craziness was over. Each of us bought a few gifts. Thankfully, I am getting close to being finished with my Christmas shopping. Just a few more gifts for family members to purchase. I am sad that my break is coming to an end. I plan to enjoy a restful day tomorrow. I hope to sleep in and stay in my pjs for awhile. I may do a little cleaning and wrap presents. My tree is not complete without presents. I am cooking Sunday lunch so I will go to the grocery store and start on that tomorrow. I will probably watch a few movies too. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to Christmas and Christmas break!!!! : )

Halloween

Well, I broke down and gave out candy this year. I usually don't for several reasons. I live alone so I was always too scared to open my door to strangers. Another reason is that I'm cheap I guess. I hate spending all that money on candy. I don't need candy in my house either because I like it too much. I could make myself sick eating candy. Also, I don't like big kids that trick or treat. I think teenagers should not be allowed to trick or treat.

Tonight was interesting. I gaved out candy for about an hour and a half. I had to stop because I ran out. I had people coming to the door after I turned out the porch light. I think they were big kids. The next door neighbor's kitten ran up the tree to get away from all of the kids and got stuck. It was really pitiful. It was crying and whining. Another neighbor climbed up to get it down.

I enjoyed my night giving out candy. The kids were cute in their costumes. The neighborhood was filled with kids. And the cutest cow stopped by to see me!!!!!!

Fall is in the Air!

Just thought I would include a picture of my favorite little guy in my post about fall.

I love this fall weather. I'm ready for it to be a little cooler throughout the day, but I love being able to get outside. I went for several walks last week. Wish the weather was like this a lot longer. I also enjoy sitting on my front porch and swinging in the fall.

Parker loves it outside. He likes to swing, go for walks, and ride in his little police car.

Most people like fall because of football. I'm not a football fan but I am a supporter of MSU. I always cheer them on. I just mostly do it from home.

I also love fall because I enjoy all of the new fall TV shows. My favorites shows are The Good Wife, Grey's Anatomy, Hawaii Five-O and Private Practice. There are a few new shows this season that I like. If you haven't watched Revenge, you should. It is very good. I also like Unforgettable and Person of Interest. And yes, I must admit I watch a lot of television. It helps me relax and forget about the stress of the day. I like to escape into other peoples problems.
